Weekend @ Conrad Sg Hotel

Wednesday, May 14, 2008

Dear YY,

Different people with focus on different aspects of same objects and come up with different ways of viewing it. There is no correct or wrong way of interpreting a physical form..

You need people who share the same passion. This is not a business where you can start out and make big bucks.. You need to build up a good reputation, have a reliable staff and be able to provide a quality.

It is the honestly which has customers coming back ..As a aesthetician, i have to be very trustworthy. Trust is something you have to build up over the years. But is beyond that, you also have to have more credentials..

i always upgrade myself to serve better..

You have to come to the front and be an adviser.. teach and advise her on the ways to wear the hair. What looks good on her and what doesnt..

All the best to your new hair salon :)

Now finally i got my chance..
i wanting to enjoy to be a full time home-maker :) still enjoying :)

Other reason, want to spent sometimes on my hobby,
like building doll houses.. sewing.. beading..
and learn to cook better :P

12 years in beauty lines..

Sincerely thanks all of you for your support.
I am glad to be able to share my beauty tips with all of you
and also learn alots from everyone..
My bigger reward is when your skin problem solve

Henna Benefits

Benefits of Henna For Hairs
Prevents hair loss and help to control dandruff because it remove excess oil from scalp.
Also relieves headaches and scalp tension.

Prepare Henna
2 teaspoons non-colouring henna
3 tablespoons plain yoghurt
1 tablespoons warm olive oil
3-4 drops of your favourite essential oil
(my choice is lavender, rosemary)

*Mix henna powder with very hot boiled water to form a thick paste in a glass or ceramic bowl and spoon.
(Never use metal utensils)
*Let it to cool.
*Add yoghurt and let it set for 2 hours.

Now you have to dampen hair and apply warm olive oil (mix with essential oil) on hair
(Don't apply oil on scalp)

Ok, now apply henna mixture slowly then massage gently.
Now cover with shower cap and leave it 30 minutes.
Time to wash it with warm water.

Washing out henna is not easy job.. Shampoo once and rinse out as much henna as you can with warm water. Then use conditioner.

Tips- Don't use it before and after a perm

Henna can be find at some shop in Little India

Basil soother

Picture show basil plant from 'my garden'

Fresh basil has a warm , sweet aroma quite unlike the dried herb (which has a more grassy, minty flavour)
To store, place basil in a jar, with stem in 5cm water, then cover with a plastic bag and secure with a rubber band.

Basil is good for soothing ailments from everyday headaches to full-blown fever.
Add a small handful of basil leaves to pint of boiling water and leave to brew for 20 minutes, then drink.

Pumpkin Facial

Pumpkin Facial

Fancy putting pumpkin on your face?

That would be a great way to greet the trick or treaters. With pumpkin on your face.

Sound crazy?

Actually, pumpkin is rich in vitamin A, C & zine. All of which are great for your skin. Anyway, lots of skin care products do contain vitamin A & C as antioxidants. So why not use pumpkin, which is naturally rich in these antioxidants as face mask?

There are lots of versions of the pumpkin mask.

You need cooked pumpkin first...Cook until it just turns soft. Then cool it.

You can blend just cooked pumpkin with yogurt & spread the mixture (cooled first of course) on your just washed face.

Or you can simply mash cooked pumpkin & mix it with a raw egg for Nourishing Face Mask.

Or if you like, you can just use mashed pumpkin on it own as face mask. You can add pure water to make it more spreadable Or add rice flour to thicken it.

Aloe Vera, the ultimate all-rounder!

Minor Cuts

In this instance, you rather have green fingers than butter fingers. It is handy to grow an aloe vera plant in your home for all-round natural remedy.

Apply the gel from the plant to minor scrapes or cuts.
Did i also mention that it is anti-oxidant, anti-ageing, anti-microbial,anti-viral & anti-inflammory, with vitamin C, E & Zine.
